The Nassau County Police Department’s Sixth Squad reported a grand larceny and burglary in East Hills on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Detectives say that at 3:44PM, two males entered the garage of a residential home on Tara Drive and stole a 2002 black BMW belonging to a woman. One perpetrator was described as wearing all black clothing and the other is said to have been wearing blue jeans and a black and white hat.
According to the Nassau County Police Department, major crimes were up 38% in 2022 compared to 2021. Stolen vehicles rose by a whopping 87%, from 425 in 2021 to 796 in 2022.
