The Nassau County Police Department Homicide Squad is investigating what it calls an undetermined death in Port Washington earlier this month. According to Nassau County Police detectives, a witness called the police after identifying a white object floating in the water at 175 Roslyn West Shore Road in Port Washington on February 8, 2023.
Nassau County Emergency Services Unit retrieved the object, a 2023 BMW X3 SUV, from the water. Port Washington Fire Department then retrieved the body of a 54-year-old man from the water. He was pronounced dead at 3:49pm that day.
The police investigation is still ongoing.
