If you are trying to get your hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 in New York, you’re not alone.
Since its release on June 5, 2025, the new console has sold out repeatedly at major retailers nationwide.
But there’s good news for shoppers in the New York City area: select Best Buy and Target locations are restocking the Nintendo Switch 2, and a free online tool is helping track availability in real time.
Real-Time Inventory Tracking for New York
While most stores are not advertising their inventory publicly, a live inventory tracking website allows users to monitor restocks across Best Buy and Target stores.
By selecting New York from the dropdown menu and searching by city or store name, users can see which locations currently have the Nintendo Switch 2 in stock. Updates occur in near real time, often faster than the official retailer websites.
Shoppers have already reported success using this tracker to find consoles at key locations across New York City and Long Island.
We’ve got a link to the tracker below.
Best Buy Locations to Watch
Among the Best Buy stores to watch are Rego Park in Queens, the Atlantic Center in Brooklyn, and the Chelsea store at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan. All three locations are high-traffic stores that have previously received limited batches of Switch 2 consoles and are expected to be part of the July 1 in-store drop.
On Staten Island, the local Best Buy has also been identified as a participating location with occasional restocks.
Key Target Restock Locations
Outside of the city, Target stores are also worth checking.
One key location is the Target in Lake Success in Nassau County, which has shown inventory movement over the past several days.
Target’s restocks are typically in-store only and cannot be reserved online, so checking in person or calling ahead is strongly advised.
How to Use the Inventory Tracker
To use the tracker, visit the SwitchSniper and select “New York” from the state dropdown. From there, you can search by city, borough, or specific store name.
Many shoppers are using it to refresh inventory hourly and catch surprise restocks before they disappear.
