Taylor Dayne returns to Long Island next week for a concert performance that promises to rekindle memories of high school dances and romances.
The Bronx-born, Baldwin High School graduate will take the stage on Thursday, February 20, at The Paramount in Huntington.
It’s the perfect midweek date night for fans who grew up on her powerful vocals and chart-topping hits. If you missed out on Valentine’s Day plans, this could be the belated gift that sets things right.
A Voice That Defines the Late ’80s
Dayne shot to fame with her 1987 debut album, Tell It to My Heart, which went double platinum and produced four Billboard Hot 100 hits.
The title track became an instant classic, followed by other smash singles like Prove Your Love, I’ll Always Love You, and Don’t Rush Me.
The genre-defying Dayne has sold over 75 million albums and singles worldwide and earned three Grammy nominations.
A Long Island Connection
Few fans may know that her debut album was recorded right here on Long Island at Cove City Sound Studios in Glen Cove.
The studio, founded in 1983 by Richie Cannata — longtime saxophonist for Billy Joel — has played a role in the careers of many legendary artists, including Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, and Marc Anthony. Lopez and Anthony also called Long Island their home until they sold their Brookville mansion after their divorce.
Ticket Information
Tickets for the show are available now, and given her hometown ties, expect a packed crowd. Don’t miss this chance to see a pop icon bring the energy and emotion of Tell It to My Heart back to Long Island.
